We stayed at the VILLA DE BENIDORM from july 1-15-08. When we arrived at reception we wrer greeted with a glass of Cava by the hospitality manager Lorna, she is english, and will go out of her way to help. The rooms are a decent size, decor fine, fridge, safe, air con, tv. Maid service exellent, fresh towels daily. Rooms and bathrooms very clean, only downside no balcony, but plenty of terrance and big windows that open like a patio. Pool good size and goot kiddies play area, swings, slides etc. Not enough sun loungers to go around though, there is no reserving sun loungers early which is a good thing. ALL staff exellent, bar service very good and plenty varienty in the drinks on offer. Food is above average, plenty of choices ALWAYS HOT, gets a bit repetetive but what hotel dosent for 2 weeks. Ate out a few times for a change, lots of restarauts serving all cuisines and tastes, all reasonibly priced. Weather fantastic this time of year, very hot. Beaches are very clean and well maintained The old town is nice, quaint cobble streets, narrow roads old buildings etc.Plenty of tapas bars in the old town. The waterpark AQUALANDIA is a great day out, only a bus ride or taxi, taxis very reasonable priced.
TERRA MITICA theme park is also great fun, for all ages. TERRA NATURA is like a zoo, also a good day out. A TIP BUY a HAPPY MEAL from mcdonalds and with your meal you get a ticket with either a free child or 50% off adult price in the water park or terra mitica. The nightlife in benidorm is buzzing, hundreds of clubs, pubs, bars, cafes. All very cheat prices and lots of offers on. Overall fantastic holiday and BENIDORM has something for everyone.

Hello friends!!
Here I attach a comment made in a review web page.
“Great Hotel” Jul 28, 2008After a few bad experiences at other hotels over the last couple of years I was worried about this hotel - but needn’t have been. I am usually very picky, but have nothing to complain about. Pool and play area excellent for both my partner, myself and our 3 year old. Room was very clean, food was plentiful and even though I am a vegetarian could find a decent meal each meal time. On the last day we had an evening flight so hung around the hotel and even though we had checked out, we were given by the receptionist a pass which entitled us to continue getting free refreshments and food - this is above and beyond what they needed to do. If ever I visit Benidorm again, this is the hotel I will book. (Contrary to another reviewer, we had no problems with midges at all and all three of us came back bite free!)

Cathhughes visit us on March 25, 2008, and the impression it was put to us, is as follows. Magic Villa de Benidorm 4 de 5 estrellas
Firstly the negatives…beds hard, no balcony, our room (520) was overlooking the main entrance to the hotel on the road…noisy. Asked to move, but there were no empty rooms as it was Easter weekend. Need to ask for milk for your room, and buy bottled water from the bar. Deposit for hairdryer, safety deposit box, aircon/heater.
Spent many relaxing hours sitting in the lovely sunny garden terrace area outside the bar. Everyone was very friendly. And in the gardens beside the outdoor pool. There is a small, but adequate indoor pool (warm) which looks like it is opened up in the summer. Also booked and used the jacuzzi which was lovely. There is also a child’s play pool, a mini club and lots of play areas - seemed ideal for small children. There were 2 ladies going around getting people involved with games. Food was nice. Breakfast lovely – great sausages! Ate paella out in a restaurant one evening which was lovely.
Visited the other hotels in the group for meals and drinks. Nice indoor pool on the roof of the Crystal Park (cold water) and another indoor pool at the Tropicana which felt like a noisy indoor leisure centre. Our hotel seemed by far the nicest.
Hotel is central and very close to the lovely beach front. Watched Matthew & Son, and Billy Fontaine at the Valentine’s Club. Also a fantastic comedian called Gary George at the Palladium. Scottish duo of singers called Joe & Fabi, and 2 Spanish brothers who played guitars and electric violin – both great entertainment and played in the Harley Davison Pub on the front, and the Western Bar. Also of course ‘Sticky Vicky’ and her daughter!!
Happy to answer any questions, give me a shout. cathathowells@yahoo.com

Benidorm: Magic Villa de Benidorm:
JonnypDagenham, dagenham 21 ene 2008I’m really shocked to read people have written bad reviews about this hotel. We’ve been there 3 times, and have booked to go again in April 2008.The service is excellant, the staff are friendly and well versed on treating customers correctly. The food is basic but always fresh, you have plenty to choose from, when we stayed at the Magic Rock we always walked to the Villa De Benidorm for our meals! The rooms are basic but clean, rooms on the lower floors can be noisey, but this is Benidorm,it never stops, people go there for the excellant beach, and the night life.If you want peace and quite go some where else !The hotel offers great value for money,in the heart of one of the most exciting holiday locations in the world,Enjoy !

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a week at the Villa De Benidorm. We had stayed here twice previously and also at the Cristal Park. However I was a little concerned about some of the very negative reviews. I am glad to say the Villa De Benidorm has not changed a bit. Yes it does need a refurb, particularly the outside area, but it is clean and tidy and there had been some minor improvements in the twelve months since our last visit.
I really don’t know how people can say the food is not up to much, the food is amazing. There is so much choice, it is hot and is beautifully presented. Karim the chef was always out checking the food, tidying round and he produced a lovely gala buffet on the Friday evening. How they produce so much food three times a day I don’t know.
There are two bars within the hotel, the smaller of which was for smokers. This was always the best bar, with the best atmosphere. whether you smoked or not. The bar staff work SO hard it is unbelievable. During our stay they were very understaffed for one reason or another and the waiters from the restaurant helped out after they had finished their shift. The cheerfulness and friendliness of the staff really makes this hotel special. It would have been nice to see some of the guests treat the staff with a little more respect but then not everyone is the same. Some people complain that the drinks provided are watered down. All I can say is they musn’t have sampled barman Darius’s special sangria - wow they were good. Three of them and i was sozzled.
For a three star hotel there were lots of nice little touches such as
sparkling wine in ice buckets left in reception so you can help yourself, the same again with a large box of bisuits. For lunch and dinner there were glasses of cocktails handed to you as enter the dining room. Also on the last day there was a little bag of biscuits left in our bedroom as a thank you for staying. So forget about the walls maybe needing a little lick of paint and look at the good things at the hotel.Lorna the hostess was still there and just as helpful and funny as last time.
The only downside that i could say is that the entertainment was a bit amaturish, but there is all the entertainment you need on your doorstep. All the good bars and clubs with entertainment, comedians, singers etc are practically in the same road as the hotel.
We got chatting to some great people, father and son Jack and Keith, John and Christine and of course Terry and Kath - hello.
So if you have booked then just go and enjoy yourself.

Comment from one of our friends in January 2008.
Spent 2 wonderful weeks at the Magic with family from 19th January and couldn’t have been looked after any better in 5 star hotel. Had some concerns before we went due to worrying reports on TA, which were put at rest by the wonderful Lorna, but once we got there thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. We were a party of 5 adults ranging from 25 to 59 with a 7 month old baby and all our differing needs were more than taken care of. OK hotel may need bit of modernising, but it was absolutely spotless and our room was cleaned and tidied, new towels provided every day - no matter what time we left it (which was sometimes a bit later than planned due to excesses of previous night!! ) Drinking and enjoying the wonderful nightlife which is Benidorm that is! And speaking of our room - we paid a bargain price for a good sized room overlooking the Med!! What a sight to greet you in the morning! However, the greatest strength of the Hotel has to be it’s staff - cleaners, restaurant staff, bar staff, receptionists everyone is friendly, helpful and caring. They just have to be the friendliest team in Benidorm - in fact of all the Hotels we have stayed in many countries. Part of our trip was to say our goodbyes to a member of our family and we were even presented with a couple of bottles of champagne to meet the rest of our party staying in other accomodation and share a toast up at the Benidorm Cross. What other Hotel would care that much? Thank you Lorna for all your help in making a sad day a lot easier, and thanks to all the staff for looking after us so well. Having stayed at various other hotels in Benidorm including so called 4*, as the saying goes “We will return” - now is that a threat or promise!? Many thanks from the paininthebum Glennons XX PS Love from Isobel to her friends in the Restaurant XX
